The accumulation of individual psychosocial attitudes and subsequent establishment of collective identity has always been of great interest to me.  In other words, I am interested in the birth and establishment of culture and ideology. At its core, my work oscillates between the individual and collective, empathizing with each while delivering inquiries that challenge the signifiers and symbols that generate belief systems and subsequent social conduct.  I am most interested in the mechanisms that create shift in ideology and probe the psychology of collective empowerment towards a new united vision-- or its failure to do so.

"..even if stones are movable, relationships between stones and men are not so easily altered...habits related to specific physical setting resist the forces tending to change them

                                                                       -Maurice Halbwachs, On Collective Memory

Some questions:

-How best to calibrate social activity and the production of culture?

-What are the standards of a community how does one guage in the psychosocial   underpinnings of a collective?

-What does this reveal about the needs or vulnerabilities of a society?

-And, how are these necessities or insecurities shaped to fulfill new notions of progress in society?  How do they shift according to the power of authority?

-Individual memory -> collective memory -> space  (what happens when this is reversed?)

-How is human morale used to create and shape culture?

-Might there be a triangulation between theocratic governance, consumption and capitalist ideology?
